Microsoft raises Xbox 360 price in India

The world’s a big FIFA 14 Coins place. Do you know how much water there is on Earth? 326 million trillion gallons. That is a real number. When written out, there are 18 zeroes. That is so much water that, when you try to picture it, you go from thirsty, to having to pee, to dehydrated, back to thirsty in the span of about 15 seconds. No mind is powerful enough to contain that magnitude, so it’s best to distract yourself. Turn away from the torrent of life giving liquid and consider video games. There aren’t 326 million trillion games out there, but there are far more than you might be familiar with as a resident of the United States. That’s why there’s Jetsetter.

Welcome back to Jetsetter, Digital Trends’ weekly look at the International video game scene. From retro gaming’s homeland Japan to the quickly growing gaming market of India, we look at what’s happening in the electronic entertainment world beyond the boundaries of this fine country.

* Microsoft raises Xbox 360 price in India.

The rash of steep price hikes for console and PC games continue in India. In July, Electronic Arts’ publishing partners in the region raised FIFA 13 prices 80 percent. Just last week Sony raised Indian prices on most of its first-party titles. This week though, Microsoft took an unprecedented step and actually raised the price of the Xbox 360, 6 years after it was released in the country. The 250 GB console was raised to Rs 24,990 from 21,990, a jump from around $396 to $450. The 4GB console rose to Rs 15,990 ($288) from 14,990 ($270). The weakening Rupee is credited as being responsible for the price hike trend.

Tetsuya Miziguchi and his Tokyo studio Q? Entertainment are known more for dropping fat beats in games like Rez and Lumines than they are for intriguing technology. (Although the Rez “Trance Vibrator” certainly fits in that category.) Its latest game Guardian Hearts Online also fits the bill though. Q? is making two versions of Guardian Hearts, one for PS Vita and one for Google Android phones. If you’re playing on Vita though, you can team up with players using Samsung Galaxy phones as well as with other Vita players. The Android version of Guardian Hearts Online is already on Google Play, but is region locked on most phones.

Gonzalo Jara and Chile got their World Cup campaign off

Defender Gonzalo Jara expects Chile to have to withstand a Spanish backlash to maintain their FIFA 14 Ultimate Team Coins positive start in the World Cup.

Chile justified some of their upbeat pre-tournament billing with a 3-1 win over Australia in their opening Group B match in Cuiaba.

The result increased their hopes of making progress but their next challenge could be altogether more formidable as they take on shell-shocked world champions Spain in Rio de Janeiro.

Spain were thrashed 5-1 by Holland in their first game, a result which reverberated around the world, and Jara expects to meet them in determined mood at the Maracana on Wednesday.

The Nottingham Forest player told FIFA.com: "They need to win their next game.

"At the last World Cup Spain lost against Switzerland in their opening game, now it's the same. It's really difficult to face Spain.

"But we've played many friendlies against them. We know their tactics, we know their football."

Chile looked highly impressive as they swept into a 2-0 lead against the Socceroos with goals from Alexis Sanchez and Jorge Valdivia inside 15 minutes.

Australia, the outsiders in a difficult group, looked out of their depth as La Roja cut them open seemingly at will, but they then settled and showed some fighting spirit.

Veteran midfielder Tim Cahill was their inspiration, and the former Everton man brought them back into the game with a trademark header after 34 minutes.

Cahill later had a second header disallowed for offside and Mark Bresciano went close to an equaliser with a powerful shot that fully extended Claudio Bravo.

Eduardo Vargas had an effort cleared off the line but Chile were holding on before Wigan's Jean Beausejour netted their third in injury time.

Jara, 28, said: "We can play much better. In the second half it was really, really hard after you've been playing in 30 degrees.

"They have a really good team. They play with wingers, they put every single ball into the box and they have a really good player in Tim Cahill."

Australia captain Mile Jedinak felt his side were unlucky not to get anything out of the game.

The Crystal Palace midfielder said: "We had a right go but those first 20 minutes ended up costing us.

"We were on top of them, we were so dominant.

"For a lot of the boys, including myself, it's our first World Cup. We were a bit starstruck in the first 20 minutes as there's some great players that play for Chile, and I think we gave them a bit too much respect.

"But as the game grew on and we got a goal back, that was when we really started to press.

"We started to believe in ourselves and then our strengths came out.

"I think the Chileans became a bit wary and of us when they were under (pressure), and they only got the third goal because we were trying to push and push."

Jedinak believes Australia can take momentum and confidence into their next game against Holland in Porto Alegre on Wednesday.

He said: "I don't think it will be too difficult getting those PS4 FIFA Coins up as they showed real character."

fifacoinvip.com: Borussia Dortmund stunned Manchester United sold Shinji Kagawa

The Japanese playmaker joined Manchester United in 2012 on the back of a stunning season for Borussia Dortmund in which he won Player of FIFA 14 Coins the Year in a title winning campaign. His loss was mourned at the Westfalenstadion.

Promising star

Having bagged his signature for just £14 million, fans and pundits alike believed Sir Alex Ferguson had made the signing of the summer. Kagawa had been imperious in the Bundesliga and was expected to take up a No.10 role behind Wayne Rooney for the Red Devils.

However, Robin van Persie arrived at Old Trafford and Kagawa was restricted to a bit-part role on the left wing as Rooney slotted into his favoured No.10 position. His Manchester United career faltered almost immediately and he never impressed in the Premier League.

Return to Dortmund

Louis van Gaal took it upon himself to cut the 25-year-old from the Manchester United squad, allowing him to rejoin his former club for just £6.3 million. The move was heralded at Borussia Dortmund as a major coup and 5,000 'Kagawa' shirts were sold on the day after the confirmation.

And it appears Dortmund officials were just as happy to see Kagawa return to the club where he made his name and are reported to be privately stunned at Manchester United's low asking price. They also are incredulous to the fact that Manchester United could not get the best out of Kagawa in the two years he spent there.

New role

Jurgen Klopp is not expected to reward Kagawa his preferred role in the Dortmund squad. Both Marco Reus or Henrikh Mkhitaryan have developed into key players in similar role. Instead Kagawa will be given a deeper playmaker role similar to that of Barcelona veteran Xavi Hernandez.

Redemption

Kagawa has a chance to show Manchester United exactly what they were missing on September 16 when they entertain Arsenal in the opening Champions League group game.

Dortmund coaches are impressed with Kagawa's seamless transition to Dortmund's tactics in training and expect him to slide back into the first PS4 FIFA Coins team set up almost immediately.
